Course Description:
Do you want to learn how to win an argument every time? Unbeatable arguments are best when your foundation is based on facts. This class will teach you how to win an argument and give students insight into future careers. The best lawyers and politicians get what they want because they have knowledge of how to manipulate language and you can too!
In this course, students will:
Instructor Biography:
Mrs. Ismail has been teaching English Language Arts for 19 years and is an alumnus of Cal State Fullerton. She is currently teaching at Orange Grove High School with Corona-Norco Unified School District. She loves to travel and has visited 8 countries, and she has traveled to 9 states in the U.S. Mrs. Ismail loves to read and loves being a teacher.

- learn how to use language effectively by basing arguments on facts and statistics and communicating effectively
- explore the principles of argumentation and debate
- dive into the art of persuasion using supporting claims
- analyze stakeholder input and develop effective research skill
