Course Description:
Do you want to take a deep dive into everything Taylor Swift? Let’s explore her lyrics, her fashion, her tour and whatever else you Swifties can dream up. In this course, we will tackle a multitude of literary skills from analysis to argument to critical thinking; in addition, we will be writing to inform, to express, and to persuade. Join this Swiftie journey!
Instructor Biography:
Jodi Bonk has been an English teacher at the middle school level for 28 years. Her pedagogy is focused on a learner-centered environment with curiosity and creativity at the helm. In 2018, she was awarded the middle school teacher of Orange County by the California League of Schools. She is a UCI Writing Project Fellow and has represented English teachers in the California Writing Project and the California Subject Matter Project for the last few years.
