Course Description:
Are you passionate about writing and looking to take your skills to the next level? This creative writing summer course is designed for students in grades 9-11 who want to explore creative writing. We will dive into advanced techniques in character development, plot construction, narrative voice, and the art of crafting compelling prose and poetry. If you're interested in exploring different genres, experimenting with style, and refining your ability to communicate your unique vision, this course will help you grow as a writer. Instructor Biography:
Ms. Foytek is an avid reader and storyteller. She has been teaching English for 4 years and working in education for a decade. Ms. Foytek has taught 9th grade English, 7th grade English, Film Studies, and Creative Writing throughout her career. She graduated with her Master’s at UCI and her Bachelor’s at Cal State Northridge. Ms. Foytek is excited to share her knowledge with the budding novelists, emerging writers, and those who just want to tell stories.
