Course Description:
In this course, students will explore their favorite hobbies and interests to create clear, step-by-step HOW TO articles. They will learn to organize their ideas, use strong topic sentences, and include helpful details and instructions. Along the way, they will practice researching, sequencing events, using transition words, and writing with a clear, informative voice. Writing and reading HOW TO articles is a valuable real-world skill that helps students communicate instructions clearly and confidently—whether teaching a friend, following directions, or sharing knowledge. This fun, hands-on course turns their passions into writing they’re proud to share!
Instructor Biography:
Ms. Hage is a dedicated educator with a passion for inspiring students since 2011. She has spent time as a classroom teacher, an intervention teacher, an English Language Development teacher and also as an instructional coach supporting teacher pedagogy and delivery in the classroom of K-12 grade. Ms. Hage specializes in ideation fluency and expertly bridges experiential learning with reading and writing, helping students turn ideas into powerful stories and insights. Her dynamic approach sparks creativity and deepens understanding in every classroom she serves.
